Practice

OK, not a great picture but I wanted to play around with an idea of fire coming from the faucet. Making due with that I have around the house, this was the best picture of the night. Crappy but its going to take some practice before its really good.

The original shot was very dark so I tweaked the contrast, brightness and mid-tone, also cropped it.

All of these pictures were shot in my basement, which is not a studio. I used the LED light on my cell phone for the lighting.
This picture was cropped but no other editing was done. This is now one of my favorite pictures.

Adjusted the midtone and the saturation to make it look like a sketch.

Washington DC and Reston VA - Thanksgiving weekend

A complete accident but thought it was cool so I kept it. Accidentally left the shutter speed at 30 seconds.

Check out the detail, you can still read the name of the states on the top of the memorial.
